Poem 1

Lobstering

The waves crash against the boat as I go out to sea,
The wind howling
It's cold
The smell of disele and the ocean fills the salty air
I walk out onto the frosty deck to fill bait bags
After an hour we get to the first trawl
The sun starts to rise and brightens the sky
Its time to get too work
Now all you can hear ia the radio and the hauler screaming
All day its 100 miles an hour nonstop
Until the sun starts to go down

Gun I shot my first Deer with

It was a cold dark day I have been walking around in the woods since 1030 and hadn't seen anything I was starting to walk back towards my house when it started too pour.  As I was crossing the road my Dad was driving by he asked me if a wanted a ride and i said no I can walk back so there i was walking through the woods the rain hitting the trees sounded like someone crumpling a bag I got to a spot where the trail came to a field I stood there looked around and didn't see anything.  So I took a couple of steps into the field.  Apparently I didn't look good enough because I turned my head and there was two standing right there.  They were part way over a hill and all that was sticking up was there heads and ears.  I knew I had no chance of getting a better shot so I picked my gun up and aimed right between the eyes one I pulled the trigger and they both vanished over the hill having no clue if I had hit them or not I started heading towards the hill.  I came over the top and there it was one of them was lying dead.

                                                                         My Boat

There are so many memories I could use for my boat it is hard to choose one I have had a lot of fun and made a lot of money on it.  One of my best memories on it was when we caught the first tuna fish on it.  Me and my boss got up early one morning and went down too the pier the ocean was a little rough that day he told me probably shouldn't go but we could if I wanted too, me being young and dumb said I wanted to the ride out there was not bad at all but once we got there it was a different story.  We had been set up for about fifteen minuets when we got a bite.  It was the longest fight I have ever had on a fish.  After two and a half hours fighting the massive fish in my little boat in the rough weather we finally landed the thing it was the best feeling ever.

                                                                       My Dog

One of my best memories I had with my dog was when she had her very first litter of puppies I remember when they were born.  I was a little kid and it was a great learning experience.  Too see how she did everything and how defensive she was and then when they were ready it was like she was proud too see them go.

It was a calm, flat, nice, sunny day we were sitting on anchor patiently waiting watching the balloons and staring it the sounder.  There was a was plenty of bait fish around and the sun was starting to set when I got up to let a little bit more line out on one of the baits.  I felt two quick tugs on the line, then the balloon went under and the drag started screaming.  We both jumped up started the boat, got off anchor, brought in all of the other lines and we were off. But then things went bad quickly when the fish went for the anchor and the line got wrapped in but the thought quickly and cut the anchor rope untangled it and tied it back together then we were good to go.  After about an hour of going and fourth we finally got the fish to the surface it started circle we threw the harpoon and missed the fish went back down. We got it back up pretty quickly and this time we hit.  We quickly tail roped it and got it in the boat.  Then we gutted it out brought it in and it was time to celebrate while we were waiting for the buyer.
